Start with the goal and schedule
The goal defines what you want to record: a check-in, a count, a duration or a quantity in your own unit. The goal period defines when entries are added together; the schedule defines the planned days.
A weather condition only checks whether the reminder is needed. If the forecast does not match at 18:00, the notification is skipped. The habit is not moved to the next dry hour, and its day is not automatically marked as skipped.
A walk: 20 minutes and an 18:00 reminder
Start with a daily goal and one reminder. The thresholds below are example settings you can change.
- Create a habit called "Evening walk". For tracking, choose "Duration", select "Build" and set a target of 20 minutes per day.
- In the schedule, choose daily and the start date you need. Add the time 18:00.
- Tap "Add weather condition". Choose "Rain probability" of no more than 20%.
- Set the next hour and choose "Throughout". Choose a saved place or "My current location" for the forecast.
- Check the goal, planned days, time, place and weather rule separately. Save the habit.
- After walking, open progress logging and enter the actual duration. If you walked for 12 minutes, enter 12; another 8 minutes that day will add up to 20.
If there was no notification, you can still perform the scheduled habit and record the result. A reminder is not proof of completion.
When the forecast sets the time
In the habit editor, switch the icon in the "Time" row to "Weather" and enable that source. Choose a place, a weather rule and a lead time in "Notify before". This reminder does not need a separate fixed time.
For a habit of checking balcony plants, for example, choose a reminder 30 minutes before forecast wind picks up. If the matching event is forecast to start at 17:00, the reminder is scheduled for 16:30. This illustrates the reminder mechanism and is not plant-care advice.
This mode does not change the habit tracking rhythm, its goal or its scheduled days. It does not choose the best days of the week or move your weekly goal around the forecast.
Four scenarios for your own schedule
Copy the settings as text and enter them in the habit editor. This is not an automatic import. The run keeps check-in tracking from the existing example; the other scenarios demonstrate duration and a custom quantity unit.
You can copy these settings as plain text. To set up the reminder, enter them in the Mement editor.

Record the result after completing the habit
A notification, dismissing it or a forecast that does not match never adds progress. For a check-in, confirm completion; for a numeric habit, enter the actual value.
If the habit has a checklist, finish its actions first, then confirm progress. Checklist checkmarks alone do not complete the goal.
For an intentional break in a habit with a daily goal, use the skip-today action. This is a separate choice you make. A forecast that does not match does not perform this action or automatically exclude the day from statistics.
If the reminder does not arrive
Check the habit state, start date, schedule, enabled reminder, forecast location, weather rule and notification permission. Missing or unusable weather data is not treated as a match.
Open Mement with network access to let it refresh the forecast. The system decides when background execution is available; a scheduled notification does not itself fetch fresh weather when it appears. Forecasts can change, and these examples are not severe weather warnings.
Frequently asked questions
Will a scheduled habit disappear if the forecast does not match?
The weather rule alone does not change the schedule or remove the scheduled habit. It may skip that notification.
Does having no notification mean the habit day is skipped?
No. Weather does not create an intentional skipped day. The goal and progress evaluation rules still apply; skipping a daily-goal day requires your choice.
Will a reminder record habit completion?
No. After doing the habit, confirm a check-in or record the actual numeric value. Receiving or dismissing a notification does not add progress.
Will weather choose the best days of the week?
No. The weather rule does not rebuild the habit calendar or distribute the goal across days with a better forecast. The schedule and goal period are set separately.
Do I need my current location for a habit in one park?
You can choose the park as a saved place. This does not enable arrival. A current-location forecast needs the appropriate access; forecast availability and background refresh are not guaranteed.
