Mement and Todoist

Todoist suits shared projects across Apple, Android, and desktop devices. Mement brings personal Tasks, Projects, Habits, and timed Sessions together on Apple devices. Start with your collaboration and device needs, then compare how each handles an ordinary week.

Decide who owns the shared work

Todoist has shared projects, task assignments, and comments for discussing details together. Mement’s record sharing sends a copy for the recipient to review and save. That can hand off an action or a starter plan, while each person manages later changes in their own records. If your group needs current assignments and a shared discussion, test those requirements before moving its work.

Compare the structure and views you use

Todoist organizes work in projects and sections and offers list, board, and calendar views; availability of some views depends on the plan. Mement uses Tasks, Lists, Projects, and Areas, with Big View showing the same hierarchy visually. Try a project with preparation, purchases, and follow-up actions. Check whether you need a board or calendar layout, or whether Mement’s containers and visual navigation fit that work.

Build a useful work view

Todoist filters use query expressions to select tasks by fields such as project, label, priority, and date. Mement’s Smart editor combines conditions using All or Any and can keep manually selected records alongside matches. A Space can bring relevant records together across the hierarchy and choose whether Habits appear. Try finding unfinished, high-priority Work items, then check what happens when a Task stops matching a filter.

Choose between repeated work and measured practice

Todoist supports recurring task dates for work that comes around again. Mement also has calendar recurrence, while Habits keep a separate goal, schedule, and history. “Send the weekly report” fits a repeated Task. For “Read 100 pages this week”, log pages toward a weekly Habit goal. A Limit Habit can instead measure whether an amount stays within your chosen maximum.

Check what a timed session records

In Mement, start a count-down or count-up Session from a supported record, pause when needed, and return to the same synchronized Session on another device. Stopping it records the timer outcome without automatically completing the work. Duration Habits can use active minutes as a suggested amount for confirmation. Analytics keeps Task completion, Habit progress, and Session time as different measures.

Compare with personal work before moving a team

If collaborators already rely on Todoist assignments and comments, keep that workflow available during your trial. Create a small personal Project in Mement and use one Habit alongside it. Check the next morning’s plan, an overdue action, and the Habit’s history. Then decide whether Mement suits personal planning, whether Todoist should keep the shared work, or whether using one app covers your actual needs.
