Choose how the time is set

Some tasks already have a time. For others, you need to act before the weather changes. Mement offers two ways to set up these reminders.

Remind me at a chosen time

At 07:45, take an umbrella if rain is forecast within the next three hours.

Your usual time stays in place. The weather condition decides whether this notification is needed. If the forecast does not match, the notification is skipped and the task remains incomplete.

Remind me based on the forecast

Bring in the laundry an hour before forecast rain at home.

The forecast determines the time. If rain is forecast to start at 17:00, the reminder is scheduled for 16:00. You do not need a separate daily time for this.

Set conditions for your task

You can check rain probability, air temperature, wind speed and gusts. For a run, for example, choose a moderate temperature, a low chance of rain and light wind.

"All conditions" requires the rules to match together. "Any condition" works when you need to bring patio cushions inside because of rain or strong gusts. A weather condition can also check the entire selected period rather than just one hour.

Weather where your task takes place

Save your home address for tasks at home. For a run, you can choose your current location. The current forecast location does not replace the task's saved place or enable an arrival reminder.

Repeats stay in the usual "Repeat" row: weekdays, weekly or another supported schedule. Weather reminders work with tasks, lists, projects, areas and habits. For a habit, the reminder does not change its goal.

What to know about the forecast

The weather can change after a reminder is scheduled. Mement refreshes the forecast while the app is running and during available background runs. The system decides when background execution is available.

If the app has not received fresh data for a while, a notification may use an earlier forecast or may not be scheduled. Open Mement with network access to let it refresh the data. Weather reminders are not intended for severe weather warnings.

Add weather to a habit reminder

For a run or walk, combine a habit goal with a weather reminder. Weather decides whether to send the notification at your chosen time, or sets its time from the forecast. It does not record completion or change scheduled days.
