Choose app locking, item protection and notification privacy Protect access to Mement or an individual record, hide notification details and choose optional data sharing separately. Try it in Mement 1. Open Settings → Privacy & Security. If you want to protect reopening Mement, enable the available Face ID, Touch ID or Optic ID lock and choose its auto-lock delay. 2. For a particular record, open its editor and enable Biometric Lock. This option does not require a date or time. 3. For a scheduled record whose alert should hide details, enable Security notification in its schedule settings and save. 4. Check the protected record’s normal opening behavior. Separately review optional diagnostic sharing, Apple Health permissions and anything you choose to share in a report or card. Choose the protection for the information involved App locking asks for authentication when reopening Mement according to the saved delay. The available biometric method depends on the device. Use it when you want the application itself protected between visits; choose a short delay if you need it to lock again soon after leaving. Biometric Lock protects opening one record. You can use it for private planning while leaving other records convenient to reach. Because it is independent of a schedule, you do not have to add an artificial date to enable the lock. Security notification hides details in the scheduled alert. For example, a private dated Task can have both item locking and a protected notification. Save the record, open it normally to check authentication, and inspect its alert when delivered. Notification delivery still depends on the system and permissions. This setting controls disclosure; priority and Time-sensitive notification are separate choices. Protected records are excluded from Spotlight and supported system queries. They can therefore be absent from Ask Mement or some widget counts while remaining available through normal in-app access. Protected Session titles use a private label outside Mement. App locking alone and record-level protection have different purposes, so check the individual record if visibility outside the app matters. Without a date or time, ordinary editors show “Biometric Lock” as a row. Adding a schedule turns its icon into a circle beside the notification options. Habit editors show all four circles in “Schedule” immediately, including without a custom time. Swipe horizontally across the circles to enable the options you touch; vertical scrolling leaves them unchanged. Hold for help. Tap “Repeat” to choose an interval or turn follow-up off. Lock · Time Sensitive · Private · Repeat. Understand on-device processing and voluntary sharing Ask Mement, List generation, text interpretation and Analytics narratives use their on-device paths. List generation uses the context supplied for that List; Ask reads matching local system-index records. Their availability depends on the relevant feature requirements and settings, rather than one universal AI requirement for every part of Mement. Apple Health access is optional. Health-personalized Digital Twin state stays on the current device. Separate Digital Twin progress calculated without Health data can synchronize through private iCloud. These are distinct from your decision to export a Passport. A Passport can contain the score, attributes, stage and achievements but does not include raw Health measurements. An Analytics PDF and a shared Task card have their own contents. Inspect the actual preview before choosing a destination in the share sheet, especially when a record contains private context. Sending a card or report is an intentional disclosure to its recipient. Choose diagnostics and prepare useful support information The optional analytics-sharing setting controls product diagnostics and crash reporting. You can change this choice in Privacy & Security without losing Mement functionality. It is separate from your personal Analytics tab, which helps you review Tasks, Habits and Sessions. For support, start with the app and system versions and the steps that produced the problem. A description such as “open a Habit, start its timer, pause, then resume” can identify a flow without exposing personal titles. Include additional context only when it helps reproduce the issue. If you send a screenshot, review Task text, locations, attachments and account details first. Hide information that is not needed for the question. The same review is useful for exported reports: a privacy setting inside Mement does not replace checking the particular file you choose to send. Before you finish [ ] After changing app locking, leave and reopen Mement after the selected delay. [ ] Open the protected record through its normal route and check the intended authentication behavior. [ ] Before sharing a report, Passport, card or support screenshot, inspect the information actually included.
