Use Mement with assistive technology and a keyboard Find alternatives to gestures, adjust system presentation, and use the commands available on your device. Try it in Mement 1. Choose the system settings you need, such as VoiceOver, larger text, or Reduced Motion. 2. On a record, inspect its available actions when a visual instruction mentions swiping, holding, or dragging. 3. Use the Mac menu commands or keyboard shortcuts for common creation and navigation actions. 4. In Big View, use the sphere’s available actions to open or leave a container instead of relying on its position alone. 5. If a control cannot be reached, note the screen, device, and exact action you attempted so support can investigate. Adjust the presentation to your needs System text and motion settings are useful starting points. Larger text changes how information fits on screen; Reduced Motion changes nonessential movement. These settings do not change a Task’s date, a Habit’s goal, or the meaning of its recorded progress. When using VoiceOver, listen to the control’s name, current value, and selected or expanded state. For a checklist, confirm which actions are checked. For GTD, read the named status. Color can help visually, but the text and announced state explain the choice. If a chart, map, or spatial view makes a detail hard to reach, open the relevant record or its available actions. For example, the Task details give you a place to check a saved date without having to infer it from a colored marker. Create records and navigate on Mac Command-Shift-N creates a Task, Command-Shift-L a List, Command-Shift-P a Project, and Command-Shift-A an Area. These are separate starting points: choose the kind of record you want, fill its editor, and save it. Command-K opens search. Command-/ opens Focus help. Command-Z runs the available recent undo action. Escape closes the current flow under its normal rules, including any prompt about unsaved work. For example, press Command-Shift-P to begin “Prepare the presentation”, save the Project, then use search to return to it later. A command opens or performs its corresponding action; it does not skip the editor’s required choices. Use Big View without spatial dragging A Big View sphere exposes actions for entering a container, opening a Task, creating an appropriate record, combining records, or leaving a level. With VoiceOver, navigate to the sphere and inspect those actions rather than trying to pan precisely to its visual position. On Apple TV, move the remote focus to a record and press Select to open it. Back or Menu moves up a level. Hold Select to show the contextual actions. The remote interaction is adapted to the television rather than copying the phone’s gestures. If an action is missing or unreachable in your setup, report the record kind, current screen, system version, text size, and assistive technology. A description such as “VoiceOver reaches the Project but I cannot find its context action” is more useful than a general report that a screen is difficult. Before you finish [ ] The relevant system presentation settings are enabled. [ ] I can identify the record and its state through text or assistive technology. [ ] Any unreachable action is described with the exact screen and input method.
